Ingredients:
56 ounces canned whole peeled tomatoes
8 ounces canned tomato sauce
1/2 cup onions diced
2 garlic cloves minced
1/4 cup parsley chopped
2 garlic cloves minced
2 teaspoons compliant sugar
2 teaspoons kosher salt
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Utensils:
large sauce pan
wooden spoon
immersion blender
Instructions:
prepare ingredients
add 56 oz of whole canned tomatoes to a large sauce an and use a wooden spoon to break the tomatoes up a bit
add 8 oz of tomato sauce to the pan
add 1/2 cups of diced onions to the pan
add 2 minced garlic cloves to the pan
add 1/4 cup of chopped parsley to the pan
add 2 tsp of sugar to the pan
add 2 tsp of salt to the pan
add 2 tsp of dried oregano to the pan
add 1 tsp of dried basil to the pan
add 1/4 tsp of black pepper to the pan
add 1/4 tsp of nutmeg to the pan
add 1 tsp of red pepper flakes to the pan and stir together to combine
place the pan on the stove over high heat and bring to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally
after 2 hours use an immersion blender to puree the sauce to your desired consistency
When you are ready for serving use this recipe for meatballs, pasta, pizza ect. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer to last longer.
