Ingredients:
1 pound whole wheat pasta
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 onion diced
2 garlic cloves minced
1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
2 tablespoons cassava flour
2 cups beef broth
15 ounces tomato sauce
3/4 cup heavy cream
4 ounces cheddar cheese shredded
Utensils:
large pot
large skillet
knife
cutting board
colander
wooden spoon
Instructions:
prepare ingredients
get a pot of salted water over high heat and bring to a boil
heat a large skillet over medium heat and add 1 tbsp of olive oil
add 1/2 chopped onion to the skillet and sauce for 3-5 minutes until translucent
add 1 tsp of paprika to the pan
add 1/2 tsp of mustard powder to the pan
add 1 tsp of salt to the pan and sauce together to allow the spices to toast for 1 minute
turn the heat up to medium-high and add 1 lb of ground beef
cook, breaking up the beef as you got for 5 minutes until browned
add 2 minced garlic cloves to the pan and cook for 1 minute until fragrant
sprinkle 2 tbsp of cassava flour over the beef and saute together for 2 minutes
pour 2 cups of beef broth into the pan
add a 15 oz can of tomato sauce to the pan and mix together
bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer and allow it to cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes
meanwhile, pour 1 lb of pasta into the boiling water and cook according to the package instructions
pour 3/4 cup of heavy cream into the pan
add 4 oz of cheddar cheese into the pan and stir together until everything is melted together
pour the pasta noodles into the pan and toss together then remove from heat
When you're ready for serving, pour some pasta into a bowl and garnish with parsley if you desire.
