Creamy Beef Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound whole wheat pasta

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 pound lean ground beef

  • 1/2 onion diced

  • 2 garlic cloves minced

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder

  • 2 tablespoons cassava flour

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • 15 ounces tomato sauce

  • 3/4 cup heavy cream

  • 4 ounces cheddar cheese shredded

Utensils:

  • large pot

  • large skillet

  • knife

  • cutting board

  • colander

  • wooden spoon


Instructions:

  1. prepare ingredients

  2. get a pot of salted water over high heat and bring to a boil

  3. heat a large skillet over medium heat and add 1 tbsp of olive oil

  4. add 1/2 chopped onion to the skillet and sauce for 3-5 minutes until translucent

  5. add 1 tsp of paprika to the pan

  6. add 1/2 tsp of mustard powder to the pan

  7. add 1 tsp of salt to the pan and sauce together to allow the spices to toast for 1 minute

  8. turn the heat up to medium-high and add 1 lb of ground beef

  9. cook, breaking up the beef as you got for 5 minutes until browned

  10. add 2 minced garlic cloves to the pan and cook for 1 minute until fragrant

  11. sprinkle 2 tbsp of cassava flour over the beef and saute together for 2 minutes

  12. pour 2 cups of beef broth into the pan

  13. add a 15 oz can of tomato sauce to the pan and mix together

  14. bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer and allow it to cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes

  15. meanwhile, pour 1 lb of pasta into the boiling water and cook according to the package instructions

  16. pour 3/4 cup of heavy cream into the pan

  17. add 4 oz of cheddar cheese into the pan and stir together until everything is melted together

  18. pour the pasta noodles into the pan and toss together then remove from heat


When you're ready for serving, pour some pasta into a bowl and garnish with parsley if you desire.
